Who am I? And why am I blogging to you?
I’m a full time working mother and wife. I’ve been saying for years that I wanted to blog and have thought about starting one a couple different times, but never really did much about it. However, now feels like the right time.
So, Why do I think I can get this going now and why would anyone want to read it? I think we have a lot in common.
Maybe you’re a working mother struggling to find time for everything. Maybe you suffer from depression and anxiety or are shy and socially awkward. Maybe you are all of these like me. Maybe you have a child a bit behind in speech or who may have some emotional issues.
Everything I just described is me or was me at some time in the past. I know there are others that have some of the same things happening to them. I’ve learned a few things in my 14 years of marriage and 10 years of being a mom. I’ve learned a thing or two about the struggles with depression in the 7 years since my diagnosis. I’ve learned a few things about stress management and keeping things together over the last few years too.
I often am the ‘listener’ called on by friends and the (solicited) advice giver. I have a strong drive to help others and that’s just what I’d like this blog to do.
I hope to connect with you. I’d like us to laugh, cry, share and learn together.
